Project Details

The owner wants her garden to be a tropical escape during the summer and fall months before she travels to Florida for the winter. That being said, the colors we focused on in the garden were magentas, purples, oranges, and yellows.

In the backyard, initially there was a lot of green except for a rose bush with beautiful magenta colored flowers and chartreuse green hostas. We added more colored foliage as well as flowers with pops of magenta and red.

There was not a lot of work done in the shady front yard except foradding more yellow foliage to brighten it up. We also planted three Hydrangea ‘Annabelle’ inside the front hedges.

As the summer progresses, the Hibiscus plant in the backyard will bloom with large, magnificent plum-colored flowers. The large white flowers of Hydrangea ‘Annabelle’ will turn pink and then beige, remaining on the plant through most of the winter.
